Specialist translations are our core competence
This is where our strength lies: we provide resources with a high degree of expertise in the fields of medicine, dentistry, medical technology and pharmacy - of course, on a strict native speaker basis. All the translators and proofreaders we employ have an appropriate university degree. Personal performance undergoes regular quality assessment in accordance with our quality management system. In addition, we can avail ourselves of a network of doctors and scientists to proofread the translated texts in their native language if need be.
Tailor-made solutions
Together with our customers, we develop processes that make it easier to handle the ever-increasing number of languages that have to be catered for on international markets while keeping translation costs to a minimum. Through dedicated consulting, we establish work flows ranging from copywriting to translation and validation, and right up to the final layout work.
Computer-Aided Translation
For us, the use of state-of-the-art translation technology is a must. We use translation memory systems and our own in-house innovations (CTS®) which are fine-tuned to our customers' needs. As a result, we can offer our customers top quality and very tight deadlines while optimising costs.
Desktop publishing
Multilingual documentation in a print-ready layout format rounds off our range of services. Our experienced DTP specialists create files for you in whatever language, format and for whatever operating system you desire: e.g. in Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, QuarkXPress, PageMaker, FrameMaker or as a PDF file.
Editing systems
Editing systems and Document Management Systems (DMS) have become an important tool nowadays in all technical editing departments. We are up-to-the-minute with the technology and can work on your XML documents efficiently.
Terminology management
medDOC® keeps specific terminology databases for every client. Our award-winning Corporate Terminology Management System (CTS®) offers global companies a means of accessing centrally managed terminology online.
In-country validation
A special medDOC® service is the in-country validation system. On request, medDOC® will send finished translations directly to the customer's foreign branch or trade partner in the countries of destination for review/approval of the content. We then check back the changes made abroad and incorporate them into the translations. Our project managers maintain contact with our clients' staff abroad and clarify deadlines and questions relating to content directly. Our customer then receives the translation, with foreign clearance and approval for release by medDOC®, ready for immediate use. The advantages are obvious: direct paths of communication, fast handling and it saves our customers the work.
